Everyone is welcome to this open celebration, locals and visitors of Nafplio, to light up the Christmas tree and rejoice with the start of the Christmas festivities. Let's light up the Tree together! Description
At 5 pm on Saturday, December 7th 2024, at the "Pergola", at the beginning of the pedestrian Vassileos Konstantinou street, Santa Claus and his helpers will run a 1.5 km route in the historic center of Nafplio, exciting residents and visitors. They will finish at the Three Admirals' Square, to guard the Tree and welcome Christmas with joy.
At the same time, mischievous goblins try to spoil the celebration and snatch the joy of the children and the presents from Santa's sack. His helpers, however, together with the cute elves of the "Chorokinissi" dancing group and the help of the young friends of "Theatrodromio" (local theatre group) will prevent them, so that the celebration can continue in harmony. Afterwards, visitors will have the opportunity to see a beautiful acrobatic show, accompanied by the percussionists of the Argolis Music School, which will delight young and old alike.
The next event is the lighting of the Christmas tree by the Mayor of Nafplion, Mr. Dimitris Orfanos. The Philharmonic Orchestra will perform carols and Christmas songs in a short artistic program, while the Traditional Music Ensemble of the Argolis Music School will present traditional carols from all over the country. The festive evening will be rounded off by the Passepartout Band, who will get us into the Christmas spirit with a powerful live show.
